Introduction: Radish is one of the oldest cultivated plants and it is believed to originate from China where it has been known for thousands of years. Radishes may vary considerably in shape and size ,from round to conical and from red to red-white and white.

Main production area:
Rural areas in Karaj and Varamin of Tehran province , Jiroft of Hormozgan province , Dezful of Khuzestan province .

Varieties: The April Cross( giant white radish ), Cherry Belle (bright red-skinned round variety with a white interior) , Snow Belle( all-white variety of radish), Champion ( round and red-skinned), Daikon (winter radish).

Recommended transit temp degrees: 0-1c(3-5 days) and 20c (1 day)
Radishes without tops: 0-1c(10-14 days)  and 20c (2 days).
